A visit to Kagga Kamma Private Game Reserve

On the 5-7 September, my extended family, my family and I visited and lodge at Kagga Kamma, which is located near the Cederberg mountains. The whole trip, the scenary was refreshing. Driving more than 70km's on gravel road reminded me of the former Transkei region with the mountainside roads. Hikes, Snow, Animals - boks, Bushmen's ancient paintings, all was just amazing.

First Table Mountain hike

It was a cold Saturday morning on the 9th December 2006 when my wife (Ntombi) and I (accompanied by a friend, Birgit Andrich) walked up the famous Table Mountain. Using the Platteklip gorge we took 1 hour 35 minutes (instead of 2 hours) to get to the top of the Cape Town's famous landmark.






Even though it was windy and cold on top, we enjoyed ourselves. It was like we were dreaming. Cape Town and the Cape Peninsula is very beautiful. The Mother City is truly the place to visit before one dies!





After spending about 30 min near the upper cable station, we walk down. The cable car was not operating because of the strong wind. I want to share some of our picture we took during the hike. I believe this is the beginning of Ntombi and I's hiking hobby.
