A weekend of an illness and a modeling shoot

This last weekend was full of the worst fright of my life and also a wonderful time for my son. On Saturday, my 2-year old son was very sick with high fever. His temperature increase very high until he collapsed. Thank God we were already at the hospital when he loss consciousness. We feared we did not want to lose him. To God be the glory, thanks to doctors and nurses.

On Sunday, we took him to a modeling shoot for a UK-based clothing catalogue. We had a great time together with my wife as we watched our son entertaining the photographers as they took some shots. They had to play in the grass as they were sprinkled with water, they also swam in the pool. The kids had fun that spread to the parents.

Writing my first book

I have always been dreaming of writing books but I did not know where to start. Last November, I started writing my first book, which I am concluding now (January 2007). This book entitled ”My Black life in South Africa, pre- and post-democracy” is about my life – my family upbringing, and how the apartheid and racism has negatively affected my life, and a call to reconciliation and friendship relationships. My book also covers religious and educational background; economic and political landscape of SA as I see it; and prospects for the future of this country, South Africa. This book may not be everybody's cup of tea, but this is my lifestory and how I look at the world around me!
